The documents required for opening a Cognito account are:
A "Portfolio Management Agreement" is to be executed on stamp paper of Rs 100. The agreement is to be signed by all account holders on every page.

Other documents to be submitted together with the above mentioned forms:

• Two photocopies each of any two of the following :
  
  • Passport (xerox copies of first two pages and page bearing expiry date)
  • Driving License
  • Ration Card (First and Last page)
  • Voters ID Card
  • Income Tax Return
• Two passport size photographs of each client is required.
• PAN of all joint holders
• Cheque for the initial investment amount made out to "PPFAS Ltd - Cognito Clients a/c"

For Non Resident Indians

The documents required for opening a Cognito account are:

• A Portfolio Management Agreement is to be executed on stamp paper of Rs 50. The agreement is to be signed by all key directors on every page.
• A copy of the "Board Resolution" authorising the company to place funds with PPFAS under Cognito Portfolio Management Scheme.

Other documents to be submitted together with the abovementioned forms:

• Company Details
• Two photocopies each of :
• Memorandum & Articles of Association
• Annual Reports of last three years
• Letter from Banker certifying Bank A/c number and period of operation
• Details of Promoters/Directors
• Two photocopies each of :
• Income Tax return
• Salary Certificate
• Proof of Residence (Passport / Ration Card / Driving License / Voter's ID
• Letter from Banker certifying Bank A/c number
• Twelve passport size photographs of each key director duly signed on the reverse.
• Cheque for the initial investment amount made out to "PPFAS Ltd - Cognito Clients a/c".
